The winery is located in Saint-Émilion (Bordeaux) in the area of the same name. Once it belonged to the Dominican Order, since 1902 it has been owned by the Joineau-Borde family. The farm is classified as “Grand Cru Classé”, which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards on the edge of the Plateau Calcaire cover eleven hectares and are planted with Merlot (65%), Cabernet Franc (30%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%). The long-lasting red wine is aged for 15 to 18 months in barriques that are one third new.
Well-made and supple, this wine has a bouquet of redcurrants, black cherries and new wood. Elegant and seductive, it presents a supple texture and a moderately long finish.
