The 2019 Coteaux d’Aix en Provence Rose Terre des Anges is 70% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre and 10% Vermentino (Rolle). That’s unusual for Provence rosé, but it makes for a pale pink wine that combines crushed stone, floral notes, red berries and citrus. It’s medium-bodied on the palate, with ample concentration, intense flavors that follow the nose, a silky feel on the palate and a lingering finish. This is clearly one of the best rosés to come out of the appellation, from one of the top estates in the Coteaux d’Aix. 93WA
